My husband wants me to waive independent marital housing. Should I agree to that?

I tried it and regretted it. Living with his family created problems I never expected. Even when they are kind people, privacy is still necessary.

Do not give it up unless you are genuinely comfortable doing so. Independent housing is a right, not a favour, and you will not regret protecting it.

Speak to him honestly and make the arrangement clear in the marriage contract. Giving it up informally can later become a source of conflict.
