Social judgement exists everywhere, even around things that are permissible. What matters is the intention and a clear agreement between both people from the beginning, without deception.

In my view, the problem is not misyar marriage itself. The problem is that some men enter it without explaining everything to the woman. Transparency would answer 90% of the criticism.

People judge it because some have used it in the wrong way. In principle, however, it can be a respectable religiously permissible solution for certain circumstances.
