Widows and Divorced Women

I Am a Widow with Children. How Can I Allow Myself to Consider Marriage Again?

My husband, may God have mercy on him, died two years ago. I have three children. My family encourages me to remarry, but my heart feels heavy and I am afraid for my children. What have others in this situation experienced?

I went through the same thing. The fear is normal, but when I found the right man, he treated my children as though they were his own. May God make your path easy.

Do not compromise on the essential condition that any suitor must genuinely accept your children.

Take your time, and do not rush because of family pressure. A man who approaches you and wholeheartedly accepts your circumstances from the beginning is worthy of trust. Children need stability more than anything else.

If you find the right man, marry him, and he accepts that your children will live with you both, then you are fortunate. If he will not accept your children, it may be better for them to remain in their grandfather's home.
